Innovative Booth Furniture by Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems

To be creative when designing a booth, the Ultimate Tech team tries to focus on making it visually engaging and interactive. We like to use our brand’s bold color scheme, as well as our core messaging to propose unique ways to stand out.

For PRINTING United Expo 2025 in Orlando Florida, we wanted to highlight cool booth furniture that you can build using the very same equipment showcased at the show. We came up, in collaboration with the team at Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, furniture design to suit our needs – in this case offering us the possibility to use it as demo stations.

Once we aligned on the concept, we designed the furniture and produced it. Here is a summary of how this cool furniture was produced:

  • Structural DesignEsko ArtiosCAD to design the table and visualize it in 3D before making a prototype. Re-board Technology provided the design file for the stools.
  • Graphic Design – Provided by Ultimate Tech and it’s branding partners ZEN Branding, Design & Com
  • LayoutsUltimate Tech Impostrip® to create the nested layouts with registration marks for printing and cutting.
  • MaterialRe-board® Technology provided the 10mm re-board material used for both the tables and stools.
  • Printing – We printed all the material using a Digitech  TrueFire flatbed printer. The print file was ripped using Onyx Graphics, Inc. Thrive.
  • Cutting – The printed sheets were cut on the Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems C24 digital cutting table. V-notch creases and cuts, as well as most straight cuts were made using a VariAngle tool, which automatically changes the angle of the knife in increments of 0.5 degrees. Details and slots were cut using a High-frequency VibraCut tool. All printed boards were cut from the back side in perfect registration thanks to the Reverse Operation feature in iPC, which uses the table’s camera system to read registration marks and board edges on the front side, then after the operator flips the sheet over, reads the corresponding edges from the back side.

The result looks impressive and we look forward to showcasing this at the Ultimate Tech – Printing United Booth 3013. Stop by to check it out and let us know what you think.
