Can I migrate the VM where my license is to another server in my VMware Cluster?

Yes, provided it is the same hardware. If both the hard drive and the mother board serial number are changed, in this case we would get the clone detection error message and the protected application will get disabled. If we have just one of the hard drive or the mother board changed or if serial number is changed, we would not receive the error message and the application would work fine. When our licenses are installed on a VM, it needs to be node locked. We usually recommend installing your software on a computer where you will not be moving the license and have your hot folders available on the network where you can access them from the VM.

Make sure to do a backup of the Impostrip® application folder and sub-folders according to our instructions.
