Our latest release introduces new AutoNesting waste-management capabilities, expanded LaneFlow workflows and enhanced production reporting.
MONTRÉAL, Québec — September 23, 2026 — Ultimate Tech, world-leader in imposition, nesting and finishing automation software, today announced the release of Ultimate Impostrip® 2026.2, the latest version of its imposition and nesting automation software. Designed to help print and packaging operations automate more production steps, reduce material waste and improve workflow reliability, the new release delivers practical enhancements across nesting, job processing, reporting and system integration.
A major addition in Ultimate Impostrip 2026.2 is the new automatic Waste Divider Mark capability for AutoNesting. The software can now automatically create evenly spaced divider lines across waste areas while ensuring the lines do not cross nested shapes. Available in PDF, DXF and JDF output, these marks help divide large sections of scrap into smaller, more manageable pieces—simplifying automated or manual waste removal, reducing the risk of handling issues and supporting more efficient recycling and disposal.
The release also introduces functionality to automatically move marks closer to the job on the final sheet when the substrate is not fully used. This leaves a larger portion of the remaining material available for reuse, helping producers reduce substrate waste and improve overall material efficiency.
LaneFlow has also been expanded beyond Distribute workflows. It now supports Split and Output and Split and Merge, giving print operations greater flexibility to divide jobs, accelerate processing and adapt production workflows to their equipment and operational requirements. The new LaneFlow module is now up to 100 times faster than the previous versions.
For label-production environments, Ultimate Impostrip 2026.2 adds per-file rotation, flip and mirror controls for manual jobs, XML workflows and LaneFlow. This makes it easier to manage and automate mixed-orientation files without additional prepress intervention.
Additional improvements include:
- Enhanced AutoNesting reports with input-file thumbnails for easier job identification
- New dynamic Marks definitions for Kongsberg, Zund and Summa available out-of-the-box
- Broader DXF compatibility for files created or edited in AutoCAD, LibreCAD and QCAD
- Effortless use of Custom Values in Formulas.

Ultimate Impostrip 2026.2 is available to eligible Ultimate Tech customers. On macOS, the release requires an Apple Silicon-based Mac with an M1 processor or newer and Rosetta2. Intel-based Mac users can continue using Ultimate Impostrip 2026.1.1, the latest version supporting Intel processors.
