“Les filles du Print – Québec” shines a spotlight on the women in our industry, but the event is open to the entire sector! Come for the ideas, the discussions, and the inspiring encounters… and to be part of this new movement in Quebec. About Girls Who Print Canada (GWPC):
“The goal is the same worldwide: to use training, events, networking, and mentoring to provide opportunities and visibility that foster personal and professional growth, and to ensure that all women in the printing industry have a strong voice and a promising future,” explained Joanne Gore, Regional Director of Girls Who Print Canada (GWPC). She added that the idea for a local group really took off during DScoop 2025. Since then, membership has steadily grown, and on July 15, GWPC hosted its first in-person social gathering in Toronto, attended by over 70 industry professionals.
“Our goal is to help women across Canada working in the printing and graphic communications sectors advance their careers. It’s about helping women already in the industry achieve their goals—whatever they may be—and benefit from mentors who can guide them,” explains Ms. Gore, who aims to create a safe space where women can freely seek advice.
“It is so important to be able to have these conversations. Whether you are at the start of your journey, returning to work, progressing in your role, or leaving the industry—no matter what stage of your printing career you are at—there is someone who has been there before you, and someone who will follow in your footsteps. So, there is always an opportunity to help, share, and grow,” she stated.
